Film Club Review 4:
Re-Animator

The fourth film to be chosen in the MovieMuseTV film club takes us back to a 1985 horror classic, Re-Animator.

Chosen by our oldest team member Simon Burton,  Re-Animator is a sci-fi-comedy-horror classic loosely based on the H. P. Lovecraft episodic novella ‘Herbert West–Reanimator’.

You can hear our thoughts on the film by watching the Film Club portion of MovieMuse episode 5 below (skip to 01:27:57).

Just make sure you let us know what you thought in the comments below or via our Facebook and Twitter feeds and the best will be features on the next show.

  • Simon - "it was almost like porn, it was naughty to watch"
  • Graeme - "it was surprisingly gorey"
  • Mat - "a great mixture of black comedy and horror"
  • Gordon - "wasn't sure if he was deliberately overacting or just bad"
  • Pete - "it's kind of good cheesey"
3.4

Summary

A certified cult classic. Overly gory, extremely cheesy and more than a little naughty but also a lot of fun.
