For our 8th film club outing we have Wes Anderson’s first feature film, co-written by Owen Wilson, the 1996 wacky crime comedy Bottle Rocket.

You can hear the teams thoughts on the film in Episode 9 of the MovieMuse podcast, so check it out and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Simon: "I find it quite a fun film"
  • Graeme: "I've never enjoyed any film Owen Wilson has been in"
  • Mat: "Way too much talk and not enough action"
  • Gordon: "sits somewhere between good and pretentious claptrap"

Summary

Too much talking at the expense of action and a disappointing finale resign Bottle Rocket to the lower end of our league table.
