The Hunt for Red October (1990)
Action, Thriller
This naval thriller about a mysterious Russian submarine in American waters gets the tension and pacing just right, but some of the accents (or lack of) are terrible and Alec Baldwin as lead character Jack Ryan seems a little superfluous.
