2019 BAFTA Awards Preview

Just as the Academy are judging the film makers on their output, here at MovieMuse we also like to don our judges wig as we assess the nominations and eventual winners in each of the main categories. The EE British Academy Film Awards take place on Sunday 10 February at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The ceremony will be hosted by Joanna Lumley and will be broadcast live on the BBC.

The Favourite is quite literally the favourite, with nominations in 12 categories. Bohemian RhapsodyFirst ManRoma and A Star Is Born each have seven nominations; Vice has six, BlacKkKlansman has five, and Cold War and Green Book have four each. Can You Ever Forgive Me?Mary Poppins ReturnsMary Queen of Scots and Stan & Ollie all have three nominations each.
